Jinx, that would be a small shank. Jim had 1 in stock 2 weeks ago when I called. Just buzz him, he told me he doesn't keep up on here as much as he would like to.

Jinx,
My e-mail has been down for two days now. Something to do with a system conversion at Qwest. I need to do some reprogramming according to the last message I got from Qwest. I hope to have the time to do that yet this week.

I had a chance to get my new Criterion 6mmBR out to the range for the first time today. I do follow a break-in process so the 10 that I shot had a clean barrel. It took five to get dialed-in where I wanted her at 100 yards and the next 5 are in the following pic. If this is any indication of how it will shoot out to 300 or 400 I will be very happy.

I have a 28 inch, small shank, 8 twist in 260AI Criterion coming in next week from Jim. I had every ready to go for 6.5x55 but certain inconveniences caused me to cancel my barrel order and go with the Criterion. I will get a range report as soon as I put the barrel on!!!

Jim,

Any idea if they'll offer 6XC as an option?

BoilerUP,
I spoke with the powers to be at Criterion today. They are willing to add the 6XC chambering to the list of their offered calibers. They will be ordering a reamer and making this caliber available as soon as possible.

Can they make 6.5x08 with throat for 140 gr bullet, say Berger or Lapua Scenar, or is this something special I have to order on my own?

Thanks so much Jim, that rocks!

Now the decision is 6BR, 6XC, or maybe that 9-twist 22-250 I emailed you about earlier in the week...decisions decisions...

Guys, I ordered a 6.5x55 barrel through Jim last week. They do have a reamer. From what was explained to me, the reamer they have is for a very short throat. They have a new reamer on order for a longer throat. I expect it will be several weeks before I get my barrel, but I know the wait will be worth it. I ordered a 26" varmint contour with a threaded muzzle for a brake and/or silencer. After a quick break-in, I'm going to send it off to be nitrided. Helping to keep the Swede alive through the next century!
Regards,
-Dan

May the fleas of thousand camels infest your armpits.

We've been waiting for a 20 Practical barrel, Jim has been fantastic and we aren't technically over schedule, I'm just really excited to put this rifle together.

My barrel should hit the ground tommorow, action is just sitting there all lonely an all. Should have it together tommorow night.

Lookin forward to getting my 284 Win barrel in varmint contour soon...going on 12+weeks now. Won't start getting antsy until the bottom metal from SSS shows up, last two pieces of the puzzle, already have the Choate Tactical stock, Stevens 200 action, SAV-1 trigger, RCBS Dies, bullets, Burris XTR rings, EGW 20 MOA base and Mueller 8-32 APT scope. Looking forward to trying it out and maybe get out to PASA and try their 600 yard range.
