I'll get things started with a few pics...

8825
SSK Hunter Stainless 20" in 445 Supermag
8826
Bullberry Blued 22" in 25 Bullberry
8827
MGM Stainless 21" in 6.8 SPC
8828
Bullberry Legacy 30-30 AI

I've only got 3 frames and stocks so after moving things around a little, the 445 is currently on the frame where the 25 BB was living and the 6.8 SPC is back home on the stainless frame. The 25 Bullberry will have to wait until I've had enough of the recoil from the 445 and feel like a break from it. :biggrin-new:

Nice collection! 445 has been on my short list since I got a 414 several years ago. I’ve never shot one, but evidently the recoil is stout. lol I picked up plenty of brass quite awhile back. My thought was to get a CVA 44 mag and have it opened up to 445. Nice little rigs and reasonably priced.

Yeah, the CVA is a much cheaper option or a used Handi in 44 mag. I've reamed a couple of Contender barrels by hand and they shot very well.

I've had my carbine barrels for quite a while now. Regular visitors of the old SP sight will recall them. But I have a 17 HMR, 22LR match, 6 TCU, 6x47 (6x222RemMag), 7-30 Waters, 375 JDJ (16" that I shoot as a pistol) and last but not least, 45 Colt.

If we're doing a picture thread, I'll try and post some up this weekend.

This is my wife's set up: MGM 20" 360 Dan Wesson, Birch laminate youth stock (she's 5'2") from Haus of Arms, and a Leupold 4-12x40 Freedom. I did put it on a SS frame since this photos. My current set up is pictured in another thread about my first day in the woods this season. I've always thought a 6-204R would be a geat carbine barrel as well. Would step up from a TCU and make quite a versatile carbine.

It's my understanding that the .204 is formed from the .222 Magnum, would the 6x47 be the same thing? The 6x47 has been around for a while.

It would be more like a 6x47AI. The shouler angle is different on the 204, and I believe (been a while since I did the comparisons) slightly further from the base.

I used 204 ruger to make my 6x47 cases. It opens the neck to 6mm of course, but also pushes the shoulder back a bit. So only necking up the 204 to 6mm would be a wee bit more capacity than the 6x47. Probably not a lot of gain there unless you want every single fps you can get.

I've got a pretty good supply of 222 Rem Mag brass for my 6x47, but it's nice to know if I need any that I can form it from 204 Ruger.

most pix wouldnt post here, says im.ages are too large...will try to resize

20" tapered MGM 30/30 carbine, topped with a 1.75-6x Leupold, the older "short tube" model...my favorite carbine scope.

Shoots well with lighter bullets, been using handloads with Speer 130HP's, Barnes 120 TTSX's, Hornady 130spire points, etc, mostly with AR-Comp. CFE223.

TC Custom shop 7-30 waters 24" tapered carbine, also topped with a 1.75-6x shorty....it gets fed with the Barnes 110 TTSX, pushed to about 2750fps with H335.

20" MGM semi-bull fluted .414supermag, one of my favorite barrels. Last couple of years it has worn a 1.5-5x, though for a few years it did have a 1.75-6x on it:

the .414 also has worked great on deer, have taken 7 with it over the years, mostly with old Remington 210 JSP they used to sell as a component bullet, last 2 were with some bonded Federal 210gr JSP's i found online. It puts out 210's at around 2000fps, so i have mostly skipped HP bullets as they were hard on the eatin parts at those speeds if they ran into shoulders:

.32mag & 32/20 carbines get packed around a good bit when loafing in the woods, or running trail cams, etc:

8884

have waylaid a whole bunch of coons, skunks, armadillos, a few coyotes, and the 32/20 has busted a few pigs too:

added....the 32/20 will shoot about this well with .308 or .310 rifle bullets, or .312 pistol bullets. On a whim i tried some 123gr 7.62x39 bullets in this one not long ago...it shot them great as well. It has a .308 bore so is technically a .30-20, but the chamber is cut to allow stuff up to .312 with no issues. MGM did agood job on this one!

Been using the old 100gr Spire Point bullets in this one the last couple of years, has worked pretty well. Barrel is a 24" bull fluted by MGM, glass is a Burris 3-9x:

used it to take this years rifle buck:

.375JDJ 24" barrel, TC Custom shop with brake, 1.75-6x on top:

8897

Edited...found more pix of the 375jdj in action; this one below was several years ago when i was on an afternoon hunt in an area that was pretty swampy & had several bodies of water around; i dont want to go chase down blood trails in the dark & have to maybe do some wading to go find a deer...water is cold that time of year. So, decided to take a barrel with plenty of punch. Buck was quartering toward me; Nosler Accubond hit on the front edge of teh shoulder & penetrated over 3 feet, came to rest in the back leg on the off side. .375 Accubonds will flat plow through some meat!
