I normally shoot my cherry picked Hornady brass. With 600
in stock I'm good for awhile. However !!! Doing some price
checks today, Mid South Shooters supply bought huge
quantities of Nosler brass, and is bagging it up and pushing
it out the door at a price hard to pass up. Normally it goes
for $1.27 per case. Mid South has it well below .50 cents
When it's gone, it's gone. $ 201.36, counting tax and shipping,
will have 400 cases to my door. That Brux barrel of mine for
the heavy gun will have it's own dedicated brand.....Get it
while it's hot.

Nosler brass is a lot better than Hornady, but I still prefer to use Lapua small primer 6.5 CM brass. Starline brass is also real good.

I've tried Peterson brass, but it had less case capacity than Lapua so the velocities were way off.

I ran the short route to test Alpha. Probably the best on the
market in my opinion for all the numbers but one. I think it
has the lowest case capacity then any other brand.

I've been quite pleased with Nosler brass for the price and my needs.

Nosler brass is great, but not needed for all situations in my opinion.

I tried Alpha's 22 Creedmoor brass and also noticed the low case capacity. Just can't get decent velocities with it,so I just stick with resized Starline 6mm CM brass for it.

I don’t think Nosler makes their own brass, it’s Lapua or Norma Brass, just like Black Hills used Winchester brass with their factor (Red Box)ammo, but uses Lake City with their (Blue Box) 223.

Imagine my surprise when 200 high priced Nosler 260 Rem brass was only good for one firing......

Got to have some details with that statement. I have a long history
using Nosler Brass and all positive but one. My ancient 250/3000
could not get more then 5 loadings on that hot rod.

That thought crossed my mind when reading through this thread. I wondered if they actually make their own brass or have someone else make it for them with their headstamp. I know a lot of companies do not actually make their own brass. Some you can find out, some you can figure out, and some is kept under lock and key.

I have never used nosler brass so I can not speak for it's quality. However I did recently pick up some factory loaded nosler 308 match ammo from a guy online. So I will try it out eventually.

Norma makes/made Nosler 6.5 CM brass back when I bought some several years ago. It's good brass,I shoot it out of one of my rifles, and use Lapua SRP brass in my other. I do get higher velocities with the Lapua.

My understanding is that Norma makes the Creedmoor brass for Nosler.
My current large lot that I checked so far is top line. I am quite pleased.

I have used lots of norma brass in many calibers and it is top notch stuff. In my opinion it is up there with lapua.

My understanding as well (not just the Creedmoor).

Future more to my understanding Hornady uses Winchester Brass in their line of ammunition. With that said it appears that only Winchester, Remington, Federal, and Starline are the brass makers, domestically

Hornady rifle cases marked "Frontier" is made by WW. All other
Hornady brass is made at the Hornady plant at Grand Island.

Lest not forget ADG, Lake City, and General Dynamics. There's
more, but just a little foggy this morning to remember them.

Couple cups of Java jogs the morning fog....LOL

Forgot about ATK and the largest of the large. They have
the contract to run Lake City, and owners of Federal Premium.
At one point, and it may still be on paper; Honeywell is the
parent company of ATK.
