Anyone have this scope can tell me your opinion on it? Just ordered one. Wanted a FFP but was out of my price range. Just looking for opinions. Thanks

Great scope... You are not going to be able to see bullet holes at 300 yards, but it is a very capable scope with some nice features...

You will love it. I put one on my cousins rifle. He loved it so much he went out and bought a set of Vortex Viper Binos, which are sweet as well.

Thanks for the replies folks. Am reading on most of the mid range vortex scopes that at 24x, gets a little fuzzy. True?

Yep, the optics on my Viper HS 6-24X50 are not quite as clear as my Nikon, even at comparable powers. Both are made in Singapore. But I can see 22 cal bullet holes at 300 yds however, I have to move the scope around to find a clearer portion of the glass. Unfortunately, the optics directly under the cross hairs is the fuzziest.

It also helps to make sure my glasses are clean before shooting....:stupid:

Anyone know if I will need a 20 MOA rail in order to dial to 1500 or is there enough on the scope? Tried to put it on last night to find out my current rings are a hair to low. Order my seekins.

Depends on three main factors: the caliber, the bullet, and the velocity, I would get a 20MOA rail if you're trying to shoot beyond 1000 yards.

With my 260 rem, a 20 MOA rail and the HS-T I have about 56 MOA up
that gets me past 1400.

that scope doesn't have a lot of elevation adjustment.
65moa or so.

Definitely do the 20 moa base.. Then whatever you can't dial maybe you can holdover and get to... Another option is to get the Burris XTR signature rings with the offset inserts.. Nice rings and you can get from 5 to 40 MOA with those without the base...

Already ordered my Seekins. Have had real good luck with seekins so thats all I buy. Will install with new rings and scope then count the clicks to see how far off I am. Will still order a 20 MOA rail though. Just put one on my 10T 308 a few months back so I could reach 1000 yards. Thanks guys. Appreciate the help.

Went to the range today to test out the new scope. Crystal clear. Like it so far. Was on target in 3 shots. Now to put the shims in.

Glad to hear it. I've decided on this same scope. Was going to get he Viper PA but I think the better glass is worth the extra money. Excited to get home in a week and a half and see what she's like.

I like the zero stop feature on my scopes if possible. The glass is crystal clear. Didn't play with the features to much. Left the zoom at 18x with no problems seeing my 100 yard target. Was worth replacing the swfa SS 20x that was on it. Think you made the right choice.

Just scored a Burris XTR II 4-20X50 w/scr MOA finally. Been hunting for one since beginning of the year. Now to decide to sell the vortex or keep for future rifle.

Since you have the ability to say, how do they compare? obviously a decent price difference but.

One of the great things about shooting the match's is your friends will let you shoot their equipment. I've had an opportunity to pull the trigger looking thru most, they all have little differences that fit different folk's likes, or dislikes.
