Well it took 29 weeks, but my Stockade Mule Deer finally showed up. I'm very happy with it. I ordered the money saver option and had do a a little filling, sanding and painting, but it was very easy. It appears to be a very well made stock. This is my first stock from Stockade and couldn't be happier.
Now let's see if I can figure out how to post some pictures.....

The paint job looks great. Stockade makes some very nice stocks.

Did you happen to weigh the stock?

Your stock looks great. I too would like to know the weight if you weighed it.

Hey guys,
thanks for the nice comments.
as far as the weight goes.... I never actually put it on a scale, but I can tell you that's it's heavier than a factory stock (is is solid) but I would estimate it at less than 3 pounds. Very handy, not bulky or heavy.

Stock turned out great. That webbing spray is some cool stuff! Did my model 12 fv's stock, a while back, in krylon khaki and put the webbing over it.

Looks great. I am currently on week 33 of waiting. At this point I'm just hoping it gets here before rifle opener in Kansas which is the last week of November. Trying to stay patient though.

That looks nice. I love stockade stocks. You got really lucky as the last one I ordered took 16 months to get.

I really love the stock, I took a gamble on the mule deer model but am very happy with it for a long range hunting rifle . For my next build the stock will be the first thing I order though in anticipation of the wait ha ha.

16 months! I don't know if that makes me feel better or worse.

Got the call today. Sounds like it will be shipped tomorrow. I'm going to be like a kid waiting for Christmas the rest of the week!

Does anyone know what the torque specs are for a stockade stock?

Exact quote from Kevin Rahill " tighten the Dog $&@% out of the front one, then tighten the Dog $&@% out of the rear one"
FYI I tighten both to 65 inch pounds

We'll there's a problem then. I tighten the front screw down to anything over 15 inch pounds to bolt begins to bind. I guess I will have to give Them a call to see what they recommend.

Use a shorter front action bolt or shorten it
