Is that a type of F-class or something along those lines?

yes our club has no pits and only 10 lanes so when we started getting 40-50 shooters to speed things up they shoot 4 targets 10 on each and unlimited sighters on a shot-n-see it still can take up a whole day me,wife and son shoot ftr,f open and f-un (unlimited breaks, cans anything under a 50 cal (use dividers and put them on the end if possible) ). in the summer months you can cook a barrel i shoot a m112 target in 22-250 in F-un class feb and oct and still use a timer to keep my shots at 1 minute in may and july its to hot to put that barrel thru it I've taken a damp rag and a fan to cool my barrel down at times.

yeah that will burn out a barrel in a hurry...i do the same thing in the summer with a wet towel but i dont shoot to many F matches in the summer for this very reason...i shoot F matches in the spring and in the fall...barrels are not cheap LOL!

nothings cheap in shooting f class just dropped 414.00 on a new barrel and another 600.00 on bullets to reload for my match guns been an expensive weekend. i'm still saving up for another either sightron 10-50-60 or nightforce 12-42-56 (have both like both) so i dont have to swap out my nightforce between to rifles like i'm doing now

I hear ya...I'm about $3200 into my new build minus the scope.

brouns has a nice used 12-42 on sale might want to give them a call they will work a little on price on used stuff.

CBI barrels rock!! this is my .308 build with a Savage Target Action and a 28 inch, 1 in 10 twist, bull Criterion barrel. the barrel is amazing.

Thanks !! the chassis is an XLR Industries Element with their Extreme butt stock option. pretty reasonably priced at around $700 as configured. no bedding required. bolted in and up in 5 minutes.

Swadiver that barrel is stomping! But....you've got to be a hell of a shot to make it do that! Nice job on your build and the shooting!!

thanks for all the nice comments. i would like take the lion share of the credit for the results, but the rifle and rest/bipod combo, have really made these results possible. hope i can continue to improve and translate some of these results in to long range accuracy
