I have a savage 110 and I have a few questions about it

First off the Searle numbers 39xx I was wondering what year it was manufactured. four years ago I was shooting and when I took the third shot the stock broke and the trigger has never been the same sense. It used to have a little bit of take up and then the break now it's just a five or 6 pound trigger break no take up whatsoever. Any advice would be helpful thanks

And one more thing I forgot to mention the gun will still fire even with the safety engaged or off ???

Look for trigger rubbing stock, I assume stock was repaired or replaced. Adjust trigger safety.

replaced but with the stock off the trigger still don't feel right

the hole above the trigger has threads for a screw or bolt don't know if it is missing something? any with the sn# 39xx I don't know the year

Well it is definitely a 1959-1965 vintage and with the 39xx number I am betting its probably an earlier one.

Thank you would that cause the trigger to have no take up just a five or six Pound trigger break?

The print shows the new style trigger (post-'65 models) but the old style trigger parts are listed in the parts list.

The missing screw can cause issues with the Safety. While unloaded , cock it then turn the Safety ON. Now pull trigger. Now release the Safety. Does it fire?

Question for you: is the trigger guard plastic or steel?

That looks more like a spring tension screw for the wire type trigger spring.

It's steel it will fire when the safety is engaged but when the safety is on it will not let me operate the bolt

First year production, maybe even 1957, can't make out the date code on it.
