I screwed up and ordered medium rings from SWFA with my scope. I needed lows. I dunno if they will take them back or not. But I was curious what you guys thought. It seems too tall to me. Trying to figure out if they won't take them back if I run it or try to sell something to order a set of lows. Money's tight or it wouldn't be an issue. What do you guys think?http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/06/22/abype9aq.jpg

SWFA will accept anything for their trade in program. You could probably trade up for a set of lows if you give them a call.

That's definitely my first resort. See what they say. The more I think about it, the more I want it perfect. I think the mediums gotta go.

1ST see if they will take them back

2ND sell them at a slight loss

3RD you can try trading them "you never Know"

4TH just keep them until you can afford low ones " you can still shoot it"

5TH I am going to give you some incentive and rub it in a little.LOL

Isn't the position of your head on the stock more important than how it looks? How does your eye line up with the eyepiece?

What kind of rings are they?

As far as head position it sucks. Too tall. I've been playing with it and it just ain't gonna fly.

They are Burris XTR's.

Just enough room for the cap to float.

Even with lows mine won't sit down like that but it'll be 1/4" lower.

Be honest, Dean. It was the words "over bore" that caught your attention here, right? ;-)

Well my scope ring issue is frustrating but my sponge camo turned out good enough to break my depression. First timer. Popped my sponge cherry. I like it.

Just a friendly warning, please refrain from using that term, unless you are sending a hideous amount of powder through a small caliber barrel, thank you for your cooperation.

Good job on the camo. I like how you didn't over do the sponge work at all. most of the time with camo simple works and looks best.
