Hello,
Here are pic's of my new Mueller scope that came today. It is mounted on a Winchester Model 70 Target in 308. I will take it to the range tomorrow and try it out. What do you think? I had to settle for something cheap as I lost my job almost 3 months ago.

Scope looks like it should have about anything a regular guy would want. Would like to see if it is incrementally correct as well as returns to correct.

I have not heard of this scope but the company if the same, made some very fine products. Millet makes super bases and rings. I do not however like their scopes/parralax.

I put one on a CZ American when they first came out. Mine gets cloudy above 20X. A lot of people have had good results with these.

82boy had one last weekend at the Indiana shoot courtesy of Mueller. He will be writing a review for this website shortly.

I spent a few moments looking through it and think that for the money it is not bad.

I got mine a couple of weeks ago on a special offer from them. I like it a lot with very solid and audible turret clicks and for a smaller objective, it is very bright. Might have a problem with mine though. I have used it once on my F/TR and it didn't seem to want to hold the parallax setting under recoil? I will give it another chance and then call their tech line if it keeps up. I like this scope and don't want to send it back and wait for another. Of note, it only has 20 MOA of internal adjustment.

Very nice scope. Michigan thanks you for buying one of our products. I wonder how it compares to the Vortex Crossfire. Where's 82boy??

Ok here's the report from the range:
Went to range today I bore sited gun but wasn't on paper good thing I brought some military rounds with me, got in on paper and YES I had the same problem as ThorBird the parallax setting moved under recoil, 5-8 shots later it seem to stop and settle down But the 100 yard setting is just about at the 70 yard mark on scope. It was clear at 70 yards setting and stayed that way all 60 rounds I put in gun. The optics are clear I got no foggy after 20x. the knobs are nice and big however setting them to zero takes a bit not to move setting. And again ThorBird is correct there is only 20MOA I think if I needed my shots to go lower it wouldn't make it.But the optics are very nice and would not think twice about getting another if I'm still NOT WORKING!

I looked through that scope side by side with the Mueller when 82boy was performing his tests. The scopes were similar, with slightly different +/- characteristics. I will let 82boy do his stuff so I do not diminish his efforts.

I've got two of the 8.5X25X44 scopes and have no complaints. For the money, they do the job quite well.

I have one of the Eradicators, and I can believe they sell it for so little $ compared to others. However, I am concerned about the Parallax. The 8X32 sure is a nice scope though and I love the turrets and the side parallax adjustment.

Last couple of days I have had some weird work hours, and very long days.

As mentioned I am presently working on an article comparing both the Vortex 8-32 and the Mueller 8-32. I have had the Vortex for a few months and have had some time to play with it, and I was almost don't with the article, when Mueller announced they was releasing a similar scope, so I thought I would do a comparison.

I have only had the Mueller for a month, and have not had much time to play with it, so at this point I could not give a definite answer. Both scopes are well worth the money, and have different features. From what I can tell at this point, a decision on the scopes would come down to what features a person would want, and the intended purpose of the scope. I would say if you looking for long range shooting (1000 yards) the Vortex has a large advantage with it mega large elevation adjustment range. The Mueller has a side focus, which most people prefer.

What I can say about the Vortex scope, due to my experience is, the scope tracks well, it is incrementally correct and returns to zero. The clarity is superb! I had shot weaver t36 for a couple of years on my long range gun, but I switched over to the Vortex, and I can tell that the optics are clearer, I saw things I have never seen before. (Such as the bullet splatter going in both directions when I hit a steel gong at long distance, the Weaver I only saw the mark hit the plate.) The vortex also has one of the best warranties in the business. ;D

On Mueller, I have owned them in the past, and I can say that the ones I have owned before have tracked well, they was incrementally correct and returned to zero. I had both scopes set to a target at 600 yards, and on 32 power, and asked people which one they liked better, and majority of everyone I asked said the eye relief was less critical on the Mueller. I thought the image was bigger on the Mueller, and I had one person (Smokey262) that pointed out that the field of view was bigger on the Mueller. Most people leaned towards the Mueller, in a side by side non-shooting compassion, mostly due to the side focal adjustment. ;)

Like I said I am still working on the review, and both scopes are good, personally for me I am leaning toward the Vortex. I like both scopes, and applaud both company's for opening up a market that was just not there, a working mans priced scope in a 8-32 power, and also having the quality of premium scopes. I cant see how you could go wrong with either scope.

Here is a picture I took from Brad (SHL540KB308) of my rifles with both scope mounted side-by-side at the 600 yard target. This is when I asked random people to look at them.

I look forward to reading your article. Please be sure to let us know when it gets posted.

Looks like he should change his screen name to "Minnie Pearl" (for not taking the tags off of the gun)...
