used to be that way in pa also. 1 and done wether by bow or rifle.
of coarse there always were and still are those who just snicker at the rules.
now days its pretty confusing at least to me as to how many are allowed.
it seems if you buy enough doe or antlerless tags there isnt any limit at least in some areas.

I got two large old does this past season. Each was over 150 lbs field dressed, the larger one had no teeth left. I tagged one and my brother tagged the other one. I shot both on one shot, which wasn't my intent, as they came out of a corn field with 3 other does. The one I aimed at was double lunged and ran less than 50 yards, the one behind was a spine shot and dropped on the spot. The 129 grain 6.5 mm interbonds passed clean through both, too much over penetration in my book, so I will switch over to classic cup and core for next season. I still beat myself up on the fact that I got 2 on 1, to me that isn't proper hunting technique or showing respect to the game I hunt.
