I haven't finished mine yet either. Been lacking two things: the appropriate powder for 6br reloading, and most importantly, time. Work has been 60-80 hours a week since January. Doesn't leave much time for the wife and kids, much less messing with rifles.
But as of now I have three days off, and I just scored three pounds of Varget from a relatively new LGS, so now I can put together some loads that should work well. Plus, the weather's finally starting to become nice again. I hope to start working on mine tomorrow, unless real life intervenes, which it usually finds a way to lol.

Ok, a little update on the glacial progress of this build. Yesterday I finally got around to beginning the hacking on my stock. I took a few pics too. Opening the barrel channel with a 1" dowel and sandpaper:http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/21/du7uhytu.jpg
40 grit sandpaper is da bomb for heavy material removal. After just a few strokes:http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/21/e3yzu7eq.jpg
Had to dremel out the front of recoil lug recess to widen it for my NSS .250" recoil lug. The recess was deep enough, just not wide enough. I may take a little more off before I bed it, but for now it fits. I hate dremeling on a stock. Scares the heck outta me. But this went well so far.http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/21/yma4atyg.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/21/ta6yvunu.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/21/3aty7y7u.jpg
After initial opening of the barrel channel and the recoil lug recess, I tried a test fit. Not enough barrel clearance. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/21/8emudu3e.jpg
So I sanded some more and got a little closer. But then had to quit to haul the kids to town for orthodontist appointments. Oh well, it's a little closer now.
I guess if I'd spent the last half hour sanding, instead of posting this, I'd be closer to being done lol. I guess I've become more addicted to this site than actually shooting.....

Your pillars look like mine did... recessed below the surface of the wood. I made my own out of stainless on a lathe at work. I wanted the action to sit and lock down on the pillar vs. the stock. This gave me more room for bedding compound and allowed less sanding for the barrel clearance.

Hey hamps! Yeah, the front one is just a hair shy of being flush. I figure when I bed it, I'll remove 1/8"-3/16" of wood around it, and center the barrel in the channel with wraps of electrical tape around the barrel to give me the clearance I want. Then let the Devcon fill in the gap under the action, if there still is one. I know it's not as ideal as what you did, but I think it will work ok.
Have you shot yours yet?

No. Been busy and weather has not cooperated. Have loads ready for break in and development. Soon I hope. 600 F-class starts soon. My 6BR is ready but want the 6.5-284 for the windy days.

No sleep for me tonight. Finally got around to bedding this rifle. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/06/29/ju4epyru.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/06/29/asajabem.jpg
Praying it goes well. All I can do now is wait. I'm pretty sure I didn't use quite enough hardener with my Devcon. I'm an hour and forty-five minutes into this, and the leftover stuff in the cup is still moveable. I'm pretty sure it will eventually harden, but does anyone know if it will become strong enough to function correctly over time? Or will it stay kinda flexible like it is now?

Well, woke up this morning, and lo and behold, the Devcon in the cup is hard. That's a relief. I'm gonna give it till tonight before I try to pop the rifle out though.

My break in went well. 10 one and cleans and she was ready to go. Crap low charge break in rounds all shot under 3/4 moa. Four 4 shot LD rounds looked very promising at under half moa only playing with charge weight and same OAL once I was reaching towards max charge. Still fire forming so no neck tension tests yet. Did find my forster bushing die finally. More results to follow.

I had my best luck with a load pretty much right off the batt jammed about 15 thou.
I literally only worked up for safety and immediately shot 1/4" groups at 29 gr I think it was.

6mm BR, lapua brass, CCI br primers, 105 lapua scenars jammed 15 thou, somewhere around 29-30 gr of H4895, but I am not looking at my loads right now.
Midway Shilen barrel, unworked action, choate stock, nightforce scope.

Two "new" action screws. Original front one worked ok. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/07/13/meraraga.jpg
Savage PTA, right bolt left port. 6BRX McGowen, 28", full bull barrel. Hart Long Range Target stock. Nightforce ultralight rings, NF steel 20 MOA base. NF Competition 15-55x52 scope, original model. Pics could be better, but this is all I had time to put together.

Haven't shot it yet. Gotta get some loads worked up. Just found and ordered some 105 AMAX's last night, anxious to give them a try. Will follow up with more pics and info later.

A-Max's came in. Got 101 Lapua cases ready to load, with the false shoulder formed for fire forming. The A-maxes will be saved for later. Gonna load some cheap 105gr. HPBT blems from Midway into the lands for my fire forming loads. If any of y'all have anything to point out that I'm doing wrong, or could be doing better, constructive advice would be welcomed. Thanks, B/N
