Not sure what this has to do with my thread, but ya I wish boyds did have a stock out for the Axis. I would definitely build another one for sure. Maybe a .223 for the wife to learn on.
If you are looking for a .223 Edge to practice on I can send you mine! LOL,I am gonna use your net camo job on my Boyds 17 hmr stock its already tan.

They're a lot of fun to work on. I've been trying to get buddies to pick them up and bring them over. I'll build another in 2014 though. Haven't fully decided on a caliber for it yet though. Set it up for the varmint matches probably. That will open up more than one match a month that way.

I already have the ProHunter stock on stand by!

Reviving my old Axis thread to show where I started. This was the first rifle I ever rebuilt and it went through a number of iterations before I ended up selling it to fund the next project. Wish I still had this one around these days!

That a mag that a member around here came up with. I have no idea if he's still making them.

That was a Ratmag idea originally, he stopped and I started making them a while back then, life caused me to be busier than I really wanted to be and at the same time, Tom Snyder (Snyder Mags) was making the short action mags. I sent him a prototype of a long action and a bunch of parts I had.

I lost track of them after that. I changed almost all my rifles to AI type mags / bottom metal except for my beloved 25-05 Axis.

So now you know "the rest of the story..."
