If you want to remove the rear sight there are slot fillers to put in the dove tail. Check on e bay.
I have found when attempting to mount a scope on my 243DL that the objective on most scopes hits against the rear sight when I get the desired placement for me to see clearly. What is currently on it is a simple fold forward flat blade that has elevation adjustment through two screws that move a separate blade with the “v”. I am wondering if there is either a correct replacement or a plug to put in the dovetail that will give me more clearance.
i currently have an older Bushnell 3-9x40 in Weaver high extended rings. I want to mount a Weaver 4-12x44AO on a Leupold base with standard rings but am concerned about the clearance. St
Any feedback or ideas are appreciated.
Thanks.
JD
