Hello! I am excited to be here. I am 56 years old and a veteran of the U.S. Army. I grew up in a household that hunted and enjoyed target shooting, and my experience with firearms is what I would call casual. I enjoy refurbishing guns that have been forgotten or abused, my first project being a Stevens Favorite in 32 Rimfire. I was fortunate to have 2 boxes of original ammunition that came with the box of parts. It took a year to finish and it was a joy to shoot. I fired a few original rounds and then used the replacement jig that used 22 power blanks made for nail guns. That was a neat replacement for the unavailable ammo, and I found it to be more powerful. Lol. Sadly, I lost that and everything else in.a divorce. Currently, I am working on a tip up 20 gauge. Looking forward to this forum!
