    Bolt issue

I have a new Mark II I got for my grandson. The bolt is very difficult to lower the handle on. Is this something that will wear in or do I have a problem?

Hi - I don't have a MKII, but a B22FV which runs similarly. When I bought it , it seemed 'stiff' to run the bolt so I checked Youtube for ideas. One point I found was that some bolts may have 'hardened' grease inside. Mine did, and even some metal chips. I cleaned (with a disassembly vid on YT) then re-greased lightly with Silicone grease - NOT oil that might dry up and get stiff again.
Just a thought that you might want to check. Only needed simple hand tools to disassemble the bolt. And watch out for 'flying springs' when taking things apart
And just running the bolt LOTS of times might be all you need, as you suggest.
Good luck, hope this may help.
