Glad they got it figured out bud. Weather is good for the range so heal up quickly!
Some of you asked how I am doing so here yah go...
I followed my own advise when I posted Chest Discomfort. The morning after Easter Sunday I asked my wife to take me to the ER. I could not get enough air to even walk 12 feet to the restroom. They admitted me under a tachycardia concern as my heart rate would not go below 120bpm. Tuesday I asked the nurse to help me to the restroom as I had electrodes and IV's everywhere. I darn near passed out, pulled the string on the wall and was sweating rain drops. Soon I had a room full of nurses helping me back to bed. I arrived in bed rolled over and vomited blood all the way across the room onto a wall some 7 feet away. My blood pressure dropped to 60/40. My hemoglobin went from 14.1 to 7.6.
They quickly arranged an endoscope and found a 7mm ulcer rupture at the top of my bowel and it was cauterized asap. Photos showed the ulcer was over a large vessel so about 1/2 my bodies blood supply was filling up my stomach and bowels. They say I lost 2100 ml of blood which is a lot when a male only has 4500 -5500ml.
What caused the ulcer? The aspirin they had me on for the stent they put in my heart artery 2 weeks prior.
Home now but I will take a while to recover. When you lose that much blood every organ in the body starves for oxygen. They still aren't sure if Ill have other organ damage from oxygen starvation.
I went from a blocked major vessel in my heart (LAD) to having hypovolemic shock all within 2 weeks. Cant make this stuff up, I have quite a few resident Drs talking to me and learning.
Glad they got it figured out bud. Weather is good for the range so heal up quickly!
I am sorry, I may have mispoke.
What an ordeal! Happy to hear they found the problem and you're on the mend. Hopefully you'll be back to the bench soon.
