Entry for today is a 1-7. Shot with my Savage 110 in .223 with a Criterion 26" SS barrel. Ammo is handloaded Berger 55 gn fb over 22.5 gn of N-133 in Starline cases set off with 205M primers. Whatta Hobby!
With the Winter M14 building and testing season in the rear view mirror, it's time to get more involved with the precision bolt rifle and our 1/4" 10 dot challenge shot at 100 yds.. Put the .308 rifles back in their respective safes and brought out my Savage build in .223 with a Criterion SS 1-8 26" heavy barrel with a match chamber. Trigger is a JARD set to 4 oz. Chassis is an ORYX by MDT. Scope is a Night Force competition 15 - 55x52mm mounted with Leupold QRW rings. OSS suppressor is an OSS HX-QR 338 mag TI. Hoping to have more shooters get involved with this wonderful challenge. Whatta Hobby!

In our winter rifle league we have a few targets that play this way. Two at 100yds, one at 200yds and 1 at 300yds.
At 100yds they are called "Cold Bore" and "Snake", at 200yds a target called "Maltese Cross" and at 300yds one called "Diminishing Circles". They are a lot of fun to shoot.
Having fun and getting folks interested is a hoot. Informal and anybody can enjoy. Managing those 1/4 dots at 100 yds can keep you on your toes.
I consider them a good test after assembling new Savage projects. Whatta Hobby!

NF1E if you go over to thehighroad forum and look under the Competition Shooting sub-forum I have a thread "New League Season" that has all of the 10 targets we shot last winter. That is if interested. It is a very fun, informal gathering.
I will take a look. It's all fun. Whatta Hobby!

Entry for the day is a 4-6. Dopey just wrote the wrong date on the sheet, should be 5/3/25.. Savage 110 with Berger 55 fb over 22.5 gn of N-133 in starline brass set of with BR-4s. Feeling pretty good as my wobble factor is shrinking. Max spread is .4" with an average of < .25" .Whatta Hobby!
