The military stuff will probably have a bit less capacity and might not be as consistent as the commercial stuff.
I'm reloading for a Springfield socom M 14 .I have once fired Nato CMP and commercial 308.is there any advantages when reloading with one over the other.

Agree. For a consistent load go with the commercial. Just shot a bunch of handloads today out of an 18.5" barrel. 135 gn sierra hp over 44 gn of IMR-4064 in Starline Palma sp brass with 205M primers running 2600 fps with an SD of 7.5. 4x Service Rifle scope fat reticle obliterated the entire aimpoint. Whatta Hobby!

Be aware, some commercial brass is considerably thinner than military brass, the violent action of the M1a can reduce case life pretty significantly. Torn rims, case head separations are the usual suspects. Unless you are loading for velocity, or precision, I would stick to military brass in the M1a.
Love me some Socom16!
