I recently acquired this rifle from my father. I know next to nothing about Savage lever rifles, but I do know this one is special, as the pictures will show. I have no idea where to turn to find information regarding the rifle, as it was made in 1911 and from what I have been able to learn, records on rifles that old were lost. Also, is .303 Savage caliber. The Griffin and Howe scope base has no rings that I have been able to find. Any help will be very much appreciated.
