Your rifle was built 1994.![]()
I'd like to get all the information I can on this one. I appreciate any input on the good or bad concerning it.
As stated, it's a 110FP 24" heavy barrel recessed crown in .308 Win
Ser # F366**7 - It has a stamp close to the barrel nut that resembles a badge with 6P5 or SP5 . It's wearing a Nikon 4-12 x ? BDC on a 1913 rail.
Value?
Is this a good one or no?
Thank you! Trad

Depends if you like it or not... if you like it then it's a good one- I wouldn't pay very much though. And personally the scope wouldn't add any real value- it's a bdc reticle (not very desirable- except for a few specific cases) that was made by a company that it out of the scope business.
Not sure what the price should be, but he wants 700 .
I don't know if he is pricing it off of new model Savage 110s or ?
I had a 1991 version of this rifle, except in .223 caliber. With typical accurizing tricks (stiffening the composite stock, pillar and action bedding, complete barrel free floating, and handloads) it was the most consistently accurate factory rifle I've ever shot. All the early 110FP models were based on the standard length action...short action cartridges had the internal magazines modified with spacers to allow reliable feeding/ejection. They also came with a fully adjustable trigger. Later in the "90's Savage introduced true short action versions of the 110FP. If the .308 you're looking at has been well maintained, it should surprise you with it's accuracy. I'd negotiate down on the price.
For pricing guns I'll go to gunbroker and see what similar guns have SOLD for (not asking prices).
I made a better deal & it followed me home.
I'd like to know more about the adjustable triggers on these. Mine is a 1994, I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but I will first chance I can.
Sent you a private message regarding the triggers on these.
