    110 Tactical Vs 110 BA

    Chambered in 300 win mag.
Other than the obvious, are there much differences?

110BA has the chassis and extended scope rail with the side sections.
110 tactical has the accu fit accu stock and regular scope rail.

Both appear to use the same AICS pattern mag (from what I can see in pictures)
The BA has a 26in barrel with a factory brake. The tactical has a 24in barrel that is threaded.

Are there any differences in the base action or anything else? Are the receivers the same?

There are so many variations of what they are labeling as " Tactical", who actually knows. The 110BA were mostly .338L, with a few in .300 WM. Those used the heavy magnum bolt head (9/16" lugs") along with the longer firing pin that went with it. Other than that, the rest is bolt on options.
    What is your intent?

    Big question.

You could buy the cheaper one and get the chassis/stock you want.
As for the magazines, the BA could be CIP length. I do not know. I bet the specs on the Savage web site would tell the story.

Just realized they dont market the BA anymore.
I am sorry, I may have mispoke.

Target shooting mainly. Yea I know there are lots of cheaper options (and I have some of them) but I am wanting something a little bigger and for longer ranges. And just to have fun. Who does not like big guns.

I like the 26 in barrel on the BA, it comes with a good brake, I like that has the chassis, adjustable cheek rest and LOP. But I have found I actually prefer a traditional style stock as opposed to a pistol grip/AR style for bench shooting.
However they seem to be harder to find, as they are no longer produced. Seems the majority of them are 338, so finding a 300WM is a little harder.

The tactical is still in production. It has the accu fit accu stock. So you can change the cheek riser and LOP spacers, just not as quick as the BA. But once set, how often do you really change it. But it does have the aluminum bedding in the stock.
It only has a 24in barrel, but is threaded. Muzzle brake sold separately, so a little extra cost.
However the gun itself is much cheaper.

I ended up running across a tactical on gunbroker being listed as "new old stock" for some reason. Got it about $50 less than I see at most online retailers. (got it for $655). https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1093984111
About half the price of the BA's I have been seeing in 338. Seems the 300WM are harder to find.
