    Single Shot Follower

I have a Savage 110 .22-250 long action 5.062 action bolt spacing. From the chart on this forum it was made in 1996 having an F525XXX serial number. It has what I would consider a blind magazine. No floor plate, loading and unloading from the top. I am not familiar with stagger feed or center feed so I don't know if either apply to my rifle. I'm trying to find a single shot follower, before making one. Midway has 2 one is: https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1004719816?pid=301807 , which is back ordered and :
    https://www.midwayusa.com/product/10...-_-ProductLink
which is in stock. Can anybody be of assistance as to which of these would work for me?
    Thank You

The 2nd link you posted is for a long action mag box. The 1st one is for a short action mag box.
**The Issue: Some short action calibered long actions actually had a mag cutout for the shorter action caliber and used a short mag box instead of the regular long action cutout. So you would need the one compatible with your particular mag box.

Can you measure your mag well opening? Or post a picture of it?

Easiest way to determine staggerfeed vs centerfeed is by removing the barreled action from the stock. If the mag box is mounted to the action it is a staggerfeed. If the mag box stays in the stock then it is a centerfeed. Yours should be a staggerfeed.

Confused yet? Welcome to that Savage life. There’s also a medium length action but we don’t have to talk about that here…lol

Thanks Fred. Had a feeling it might be.

So OP, that means you will need the one on the first link.
