Throw levers!

I bought a new scope and the dial is super stiff, especially outside right now! The only thing I can find to fit the scope is either a two piece model (made by Leupold) and a plastic version sold by MK Machining. The aluminum one from Leupold looks compact but also looks like it will fall off easily, and a quick search on YT showed that to be correct. The plastic model straps around the dial but looks cheap and flimsy.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I have a Vortex Switch View throw lever on one of my scopes. Couldn't work the magnification ring without it. It's an aluminum strap that wraps around and is secured with a screw like a bubble level. It works well, and has never slipped. There are cheaper throw levers out there that look the same. Can't speak to their performance.

i have a couple MK machine throw levers. They are pretty sturdy, no complaints at all.

I'll take a look at those. I think MK machine might support a model for Leupold but not sure about Vortex but I'll look

So why is it that a new scope would be so tight as to require the need for a throw lever.
