I booked with Roberts Outfitting in Deer Lake and it was a blast ! Everybody saw Moose , I saw three nice bulls and ended up shooting a smallish 8 point . If you haven't tried Moose you're missing out , great tasting meat .
Then when I returned home I received an email from J and J Outfitters LLC saying they had a opening for third rifle Elk , so I signed up for that hunt also . What a once in a lifetime hunt , Joe owns private land adjacent to public and I watched as thousands of Elk moved down the mountains and onto his land .
I had my sights on a nice 5x5 but ended up shooting the wrong bull , a lessor 5x5 , but still a great hunt .
