Converting axis 243 to 30-06

Should I only need a barrel and gauge for converting the 243 to 30.06? Would I need to change the bolt head or am I good to go?

Bolt head is the same, but you will also need the long magazine and the trigger guard for the long magazine.

Is the magazine cutout in the stock different?

I plan going with an aftermarket stock. More than likely a Boyd’s, since this is staying a hunting setup.

As stated earlier you will need a LA magazine and new stock.

The Boyd's At-One stock already have the bottom magazine metal installed, not sure about the other styles.
It is easier remove and install the barrel if you have the Savage rear entry action wrench, not needed, but makes the job easier.
