    Axis II Trigger Adjustment

I just got my MCarbo Axis Pro Trigger Kit in the mail.
I took the Barreled Action out of the stock preparing to install my trigger parts kit.
I thought the Axis II "Accu-Trigger" was adjustable???? The only screw that I see that looks like an adjustment screw appears to be epoxied in place. Am I missing something???

    See Installation Post below.

Bob, the only thing I remember that is adjustable is the trigger return spring. That takes a special tool. The other one is probably the overtravel screw? or maybe the safety engagement screw. I can't remember honestly.
I am sorry, I may have mispoke.

MCARBO Savage AXIS Pro Trigger Kit (19996600111)
At the time of purchase $26.90 Shipped. Not a bad price for what you end up with when you get the parts installed.
The Kit Includes (2) Trigger Shims, (1) Tube Super Lube, (1) 1.5# lb Trigger Return Spring, (1) 2.5 lb Trigger Return Spring, and (1) 3.5 lb Trigger Return Spring, and (1) Spring Stud.

Not Provided In The Kit That You Will Need: Blue Loc-Tite for the Spring Stud.

I got the MCARBO 1.5 lb Spring installed along with the Trigger Shims.
Nothing needed adjusting. The Epoxied Adjustment Screw was not an issue. The Factory Trigger went from Pitiful to Pretty Impressive with a Spring and Two Shims.

    SAFETY CONCERN:
If you are not used to Bolt Action Target Accu-Triggers, the 1.5 lb Spring may be TOO Light for you. You barely have a Wall between the disengagement of the Accu-Release Lever, and the Trigger Break. I shoot most of my ammunition at the Range. I will probably leave the 1.5 lb Spring in it, at least for now. Another thing, I do not haul the rifle around with a round chambered ever. Another concern would be gloves. The 1.5 lb Spring Trigger Pull is way too light for wearing gloves.

BETTER CHOICE: For a hunting rifle the 2.5 lb, or 3.5 lb Springs would be a better choice.
I am sure that any of the Three Provided MCARBO Springs when used with the Trigger Shim's provided in the kit would be a vast improvement over the factory trigger pull.

INSTALATION: Installation took a little figuring. I could not get the Shims to stay in place on the side of the Trigger with the provided Lube as shown in the video that I watched. I ended up putting the first Shim on the Trigger Pin, then installing the Trigger and getting all the holes lined up. Then sliding the last Shim into place.
Easier would have been using a Slave Pin. If I had any plans of doing more than one Axis II Trigger, I would make a Slave Pin for the installation.

Now to get past this Blue Cold Weather, and get the rifle back to the Range for more testing.
