I have a couple of Oryx chassis on model 110s and love them. Haven't paid attention to any sales though. Whatta Hobby!

I also have a couple of Oryx chassis for SA Model 12s.
I swear by them. Both actions were drop-ins into the chassis.

They are the chassis that are on two of my three most accurate rifles - all model 12s. The other is HS precision.
I have tried one of the two chassis on a model 10 .308 for a short time, and that action also dropped right in.
I am thinking about buying a third Oryx. I just haven't sprung for another Oryx yet.

Make sure the AICS mag you buy has enough length to fit the OALs you intend to load for.
    I have three AICS mags. A 10-round and 5-round .308 mag for a 6.5mm CM and a 10-round .223 mag. Two are plastic.
The overall length limit in the plastic 10-round 6.5mm CM mag is considerably shorter than the metal 5-round mag.
The .223 plastic mag has an internal length of 2.500 so it is long enough for anything I load.

The price has gone up about $25 dollars since the summer of 2019.
I haven't seen a sale on Oryx chassis since well before I bought both of mine.
They are still worth the price compared to other chassis that are available. I wouldn't wait for a potential sale.

Check out Northland Shooters. They are having a sale on "certain" MTD Savage chassis. But I did not see ORYX. I would call James and see if he can help?

When I was looking for a bolt 223, it was the Savage Precision with the Oryx chassis that really got my attention. I'd done an awful lot of research on bolt guns and it was the only one with a 223 straight from the factory. It's like a swiss army knife. With the M-lok adaptability, I've added both an ARCA rail for the accu-tac bipod and chassis weights.

Well, I tried. Sent a email to northland inquiring if/when the oryx is on sale. Just a big NO on a sale. Must be a money maker for him. I’ll be ordering soon.

I picked up an Oryx for my 110 LA from OpticsPlanet on sale. I don’t remember if it was a Black Friday sale or something else they had going on.

You all with Orynx stocks has an issue with low scope mounts on the stock? I looked through one and the scope had to have med to high mounts as you couldn't see through the scope do to lack of stock drop

Time to adjust your cheek riser. Ring height is more to allow the objective lense some space over the barrel. Great chassis. Whatta Hobby!

"All" straight spine chassis stocks will generally have the user going to taller rings. They are designed
that way for recoil management. Be as it may, most rifles need taller rings as the objectives get larger
in diameter. A rifle using a 50 mm will not be able mount up a 56 or even worse, the 60mm Sightrons.
Either way, one size does not fit all. Some heads are just thicker then others.....LOL

I had the Oryx on my list of considerations (Savage FCP-SR 308) and after weeks of picking through the choices I got tired of selection paralysis and chose the GRS Berserk (now out of production) though about 1# heavier than the Oryx. It has been doing just fine for my recreational needs. I traded out the Savage style magazine for AICS at the same time.

I went ahead and ordered the GRS Fenris. GRS said it won’t fit my 10 FCP SR but to buy the bitfrost. Both have the same description so I ordered from amazon. Good return policy.

I'll go dig out my magazines to see if the p/n is something you can use - will get back to you

p.s. your stock is biased for RH shooters...which you are, yes?

RH shooter. Put the GRS on today. Fit good. Sucks I had to use the bottom metal that uses savage magazines. Need to find one for AICS magazines.

Me and chassis don't get along very well. Finally got it to the range. All over the place at 100 yards. Torqued to specs. Will be putting the original chassis back on to get back to sub MOA it was before. Once I verify its back, will probably sell this chassis. This was my dream chassis I wanted for years. I went through this crap about 12 years ago when I put a cadex chassis on my 10T. After months of adjusting the torque screws, gave up and sold both.

Both of my 110 long actions are providing 1/4 moa accuracy using ORYX chassis. Photo shows target shot a couple days ago using my .223 Savage in ORYX. Whatta Hobby.

Shot this target last August with my .223 Savage 110 in an ORYX. Hope to do as well or better this year. ORYX chassis rule in my book. Whatta Hobby!
