I wasn’t even aware of them until just recently. How’s the glass in yours?
Just wondered if anybody had experience or owned any of the new Redfield scopes? I have a 4x-12x -40. Bought it last year around October. It seems ok but, I know it's probably not like the old ones.

As far as I know they have been made in the Leupold factory in Oregon for a bit over 10 years now.
When Leupold owned them, the Revolution line was assembled in Oregon (legally, like with most Leupold products, they can't say "Made in USA" because they aren't). The Revenge line was imported from the Philippines.
Academy now owns the Redfield brand, and they are produced in China.
The original Revolution line had different coatings than the low-end Leupolds of the time and suited my vision better, as did the slightly bolder reticles. I have not looked closely at the Academy models other that to see where they were made.
So this website is not correct?
https://redfield-scopes.com/about-redfield-scopes/
And I don't see anything in the Academy company stuff that they have any subsidiaries.
I don't mind being wrong, I just can't find a reference.
That page is not even an official company page and looks like something AI created.
Here's an article that sums it up:
BEAVERTON, Ore. (April 13, 2021) — Leupold & Stevens, Inc., provider of the world’s most rugged, lightweight, and clear sport optics, is pleased to announce the sale of the Redfield brand to Academy Sports + Outdoors (“Academy”) (NASDAQ: ASO).
“The sale of Redfield to Academy Sports + Outdoors is part of our continued strategic focus on the Leupold brand,” said Bruce Pettet, President and Chief Executive Officer of Leupold & Stevens, Inc.
The sale includes the brand rights for the Redfield brand of sports optics. Academy will develop and sell quality sports optics exclusively for Academy Sports + Outdoors under the Redfield brand going forward.
Academy also owns the exclusive rights to Magellan Outdoors, Monarch, H20 Express and Game winner.
Thanks for the note.
