    30 E Savage 12 gage


    Been looking for some stable information about a Savage 30 E 12 gage pump shot gun its old and i have had it over 45 years and some It has no numbers.

    These were made from 1959-1978. In 1979 Savage came out with a new Model 79 pump gun.

    The one's made from 1959-68 had the safety in the trigger guard similar to a Remington 870. From 1969 on the safety was on the top tang like a Mossberg.

    Serial numbers weren't required until 1968 when the Gun Control Act of 1968 went into effect (Nov. 1st if I remember right).
