If I avoided made in China I wouldn't have much stuff in my house and I'd be without a car :)
The only Burris I've had in recent years is the discontinued Fclass scope. Nice scope and it works well.
Does anyone have experience with this series of scope?
I ordered a 3-15X44 with the Ballistic E3 reticle. Doing a search on gun dot deals yielded a retailer selling them for $357+$19.99 insured shipping. Almost $200 cheaper than any store local to me.
I looked around the internet and didn’t find too many negatives. One gripe was “made in china”. If it weren’t for the low price I probably would’ve gone for a Leupold vx freedom series. I try to avoid made in china whenever possible. Economics of the gun budget is a driver of my choice.
It’s going on a 110 Trail Hunter in 308. Originally I had planned on robbing a Bushnell from another gun that isn’t being used. But it’s a big honking gun range only scope. Getting the Burris for a gun with “hunter” in its name made more sense to me.
Thanks in advance for any and all input. Good or bad.

Thanks and yes even the device I’m using to type this is made in china.
I did have an XTR a couple years ago and it was great, but that one was a much higher price point. And should’ve been great.
Having exposed turrets was a want that the Signature HD offered. Works well from the few things that I could find to read online.
It is a good time of year to be buying such stuff. The Burris XTR I have was bought on clearance for a really low price, too good to pass up. Just lucky.
Got my Vortex Diamondback the same way, Christmas sale price. It has turned out to be a good workhorse. I'll bet your Burris will do as well or better.
As Charlie said, keep an eye out for sales this time of year as retailers are wanting to blow out product so they aren't stock with leftovers when the new stuff is announce in the coming months. I darn near pulled the trigger on another Athlon Ares ETR 4.5-30x56mm this morning as Midway USA has them marked down to $750 to clear them out (paid almost $1200 for mine a couple years ago). Also check www.CameralandNY.com as Doug usually has some extremely good deals.

Thanks for the conversation thus far folks.
I’m sure it’ll be fine. My experience with scopes that have had turrets they were in “mils”. Took a bit to learn as moa was what I was used to on the several Leupold vxii’s I’ve had over the years. I liked it better when shooting beyond 500 yards. I don’t do that anymore as I can’t seem to find the time for that kind of shootin’.
The Burris with the moa turrets will work for my current level of shooting. And if I manage to once again go hunting it’ll work well for that.
Yesterday I received the first part to my new gun; 20 MOA EGW rail. I'm still waiting for a call from my local gun shop letting me know my 110 Trail Hunter has arrived.
I'm leaning Talley for rings. Haven't purchased any rings yet.
The Burris scope has arrived. First impressions; nice glass, magnification ring turns smoothly, E3 reticle seems a little thin.
More to come once it is mounted and used at the range.
