You CANNOT fire any 45 caliber loads in a 475. That would be like shooting a 41mag in a 44mag. You'd only do it once!!!!
I understand you can shoot .480 Ruger in place of the .475 Linebaugh. Also the .480 Ruger will chamber .454 casull, .45 colt and .45 Schofield rounds. Would putting these smaller rounds in the .475 be like putting 9mm through a .357? To loose to be worth the effort? Not taking into account the carbon fire ring that you would have to remove for safety! LOL I have to much "Free Time" to think today

It’s not ok to shoot 45 in 480 either.
the 480 is to the 475L
what the 38s is to the 357mag and 357 max
and what the 44s is to the 44 mag.
Like I say not arguing, just getting myself the correct information. I can already guess if you did not have a failure you would have an undersize bullet rattling down the barrel creating flyers

No sir. Not arguing at all. I think you could have just misinterpreted this part….just guessing.
“Revolvers chambered in .460 S&W Magnum can usually accept .454 Casull, .45 Colt, and .45 Schofieldrounds as well (in the same way that a .475 Linebaugh revolver can take .480 Ruger)”
the 460 takes those rounds.
I have a 9.5" Super RedHawk in 480 as well as an SRH Alaskan in 480. You cannot shoot anything except 480's in a 480.
You can shoot 480's in a 475L. The 480 is just shorter. Like 38 Special and 357 Magnum.
I no not mind shooting a 480 Ruger in the Super RedHawk. I believe the 475L might be just a little past comfortable to shoot. The 480 with a Full House Load is nothing to sneeze at power wise.

You just have to have the right incentive to shoot a .475L & .416 Taylor.
I killed #11 SCI handgun rhino with my .FA 475L at 30 yards. Didn't feel a thing.
Shot an elephant charging me at 12 YARDS!! with my .416 Taylor Encore. Didn't feel a thing. Killed #4 SCI handgun lion charging me at 25 yards. Didn't feel a thing. All shots were offhand. Didn't notice the recoil at all, but did notice that certain body sphincters tightened a little!!
