My Primary Predator Predator rifle for Fall 2024

Here's my newly barrelled 2024 Predator rig.
Set up for a southpaw.
Hot off the press Preferred 18" Carbon Fiber 20-250 chambered barrel with 1- 8.5 twist for using Berger 55 grn projos.
The barrel is a work of art.

I've loved my Predator Impulse so far. My only learning curve so far is that I have to cycle the bolt back all the way fast. If I try to go slow it doesn't work as well. I can run it forward fast or slow.

Here's my Predator rigs all ready for opening day of NY states Predator season tomorrow, Oct 1st.
Front and center Predator is sporting a fresh 18" Preferred CF barrel chambered in 20-250, factory stock, topped with the Halo X50.
The rear Predator is the tried and true .243 X caliber CF barrelled death machine in a Boyd's At one thumbhole stock, topped with the Rix L3 scope.
The 20-250 cartridge is taking over the primary cartridge duty this year, ending the .243's 30+ year's long reign.

What does NY consider predators?

knkw a guy who hunts upstate and says the deer are thick as rabbits. Whatever they are doing to control predators, it seems to work.

know a guy who hunts upstate and says the deer are thick as rabbits. Whatever they are doing to control predators, it seems to work.

The deer population is surely effected, but it's really the small animals like grouse, wild turkey, farm and house pet's who suffer the most from an uncontrolled predator population.
I try to do my part and my two enhanced Predator rigs make me more efficient in doing that.
