Hello all...I'm not so new here but cannot seem to find my old acct info...anyway, I recently acquired a 110L in 308Win that is perplexing me...I am aware the 110L was made between ~1959 and 1962....this rifle is a Chicopee Falls, Mass marked receiver an the barrel code is K (1959) but the SN is 227XX...the SN seems too high for what would appear to otherwise be a 1959 gun...thoughts?

Thanks, after more research I am confident it's a 1959 Savage 110L....I feel like I got a solid deal now seeing these are pretty uncommon in the short action and Chicopee Falls marked...and left handed to boot!Originally Posted by PhilC
I’ve got two long action 110L’s with 1959 date codes in the 22xxx serial range. My 1959 short actions are in the 17xxx range. Great rifles!
