I have a Mk. II BV that I've had for awhile but got second hand, so I have no idea of total round count. Based on what I can see with a bore scope, I'd say it wasn't shot a lot. When I first got this rifle, the trigger was ridiculously light, or so I thought at the time, so I increased the pull weight. Didn't shoot it much, but have gotten a lot more focused on "precision" shooting, both rimfire and centerfire, so this rifle is now seeing a lot more use. So my title is referring to two different things, first is the trigger. Sometimes it goes back to super light, mostly it's about where I think it should be, then occasionally it'll be really heavy. Other than adjusting, it's all OEM as far as I know. I know there are mods/tweaks you can do to lighten the trigger, buy my main concern is consistency. Do those mods/tweaks help with that?

Second issue is accuracy vs. hold. If I really bear down on the comb with my cheek, and really pull the butt hard into my shoulder, it'll shoot nice tight little ragged hole groups. Let up AT ALL, they instantly open up to an inch or more at 50 yards. Trying to shoot free recoil style doesn't work either, it's either locked down or no joy. This has me confused, laminated stocks are usually pretty stiff and stable. Nothing SEEMS to be flexing, but something must be. When I get the hold right, it's apparent this rifle will shoot, and it's not picky about ammo, pretty much any SV or sub-sonic I've tried will give similar tight groups with the "proper" hold. I don't like the stock, it doesn't fit me very well, so I was thinking of doing some mods to it by adding material then carving it to fit. But now I'm not sure it's worth the bother, without knowing what the problem it, I don't know if I'd fix it or make it worse. So has anyone had a similar issue, and if so, how did you fix it? Later.
