I am also a newbie but can understand his frustration. Been trying to find a 223 mag for months. Have a 6.5 CM I am wanting to install a fast twist 223 barrel on. Have the barrel, bolt head, etc. May try modifying the follower in a 6.5CM mag. or making a new follower.
Not like any of us bothered to buy any spare mags.
If I ever wanted one I'd pony up the cost of a stock and bottom metal for AICS mag.
