Hardly !! Think of the other makers as overpriced bling. In the
world of CNC machining, they got it right in overall utility and
pricing. I am a bit partial because I shoot MDT stocks exclusively,
and test ammo with them on a regular basis.....I have never had
to skim bed one of their stocks. On any chassis stock I work on
being mine or a customers, I use a turned cylinder the same size
as the action, and wrapped in 800 grit. A couple of light swipes
to check how even the v-block is.
