For 2014 Savage Arms didn't bring a whole lot of new products to the market. In fact, there are really only seven new models for this year and all but one of them are rimfires. The lone centerfire rifle addition for 2014 is the left-hand Model 16/116 FLCSS in the Big Game Series. This new detachable magazine model simply replaced the similar 16/116FLHSS model from last year which featured a hinged floorplate.
On the rimfire side of things there are three new package rifles fitted with Bushnell 3-9x40 scopes. These three models are the Mark II FXP in 22LR, the 93 FXP in 22 WMR, and the 93R17 FXP in .17 HMR. The three remaining new rimfire models all feature a heavy barrels and a threaded muzzle. They are the Model 64 FV-SR in 22LR, the 93 FV-SR in 22 WMR, and the 93R17 FV-SR in .17 HMR.
