  1. Notice: Effective 8/30/2025 I will be shutting down this site. After 24 years of operation the time has come. This is a decision I have been facing for the past 6-8 years now as both user interaction and revenues have continued to decline, and keeping it open just doesn't make fiscal sense at this point.

    Dates to Note:

6/1/2025 - Paid Subscriptions and New User Registrations have been disabled

8/1/2025 - New posts in the classifieds will be disabled

8/30/2025 - This site will shut down and no longer be accessible

One of the most frequently asked questions I see being asked by shooters across the internet is, "What power scope should I get or do I need for my rifle?" Just thirty years ago choosing a new scope for your rifle wasn't nearly as difficult a decision to make as optics were much more simple and the available selection was much, much smaller. Today optics

In 2017 Savage Arms launched the then new B-Series of rimfire rifles. While not an entirely new design as they share many similarities with the older Mark I/II/93 Series rimfire rifles, the new B-Series incorporated several significant design changes that in my opinion makes them far superior to the rather dated and sometimes problematic previous models.

For roughly a half century Savage Arms has been a leader and an innovator when it comes to offering ready-to-hunt package rifles. As early as in the mid-1960's Savage was offering their Model 110 rifle factory fitted with a Savage branded optical sight. Through the 1970's and early 80's Savage continued to offer package options,
