    116 FCSS Weather Warrior

I've had a Savage 220F since 2010, and it's been a great gun. It's a tackdriver, and I've taken a bunch of deer and a couple of coyotes with it. LOVE the Accutrigger. Western NY allows centerfire rifles for deer now, I've been shooting a Marlin 336 in .35 Remington. I'd like to get a .25-06, and I see there's still some of the Weather Warriors available. How are they? I've narrowed it down to them or the Tikka T3x stainless.

The weather warrior is the best of savage hunting rifles in my opinion. They formerly had a hinged floor plate that was not my favorite option. All things considered if you can find a stainless Tikka in the caliber you want, buy that and don't look back.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.

Is the Tikka really that much better?

Visit a local gun shop where you can put your hands on one. I think you will be impressed.

I've handled them many times, and even shot one. They are great guns for sure. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the safety.
