    Help me pick 1st Tripod ?


    Please ?

    I'm planning to start practicing at long-range using a tripod I can also hunt with for say Deer or Coyote. This will be my first tripod of any kind. I see so many choices with Harris as far as leg-length. Also the bottom of my stock has some kind of rail I don't understand...

    Rifle: Savage Model 12 F/TR .308 Winchester
