    Mod 24 Series P 22 Win.mag over 20g

    Hello everyone.First post here. I just found a mod 24 series P with 22mag RF and 20g under 2 3/4-3" #C711504 excellent condition. I was hoping someone could give me a date of manufacture and what it should be worth? Thanks in advance.

    Re: Mod 24 Series P 22 Win.mag over 20g

    Will someone help me find a Savage model 24 in .22/20ga? It can be .22 LR or .22 mag. I have searched the www to no avail, at least within a modest budget of $400.
    Hope this gang can be of help.

    Oneshot;

    My Blue Book of Gun Values doesn't list a 24 series P. However most of the other models of similar styling are listed at $395 for 100% condition to $160 for 60% condition. My book is about 4 years old but I think the prices will still be close.

    Actually, someone just posted on the forum at Savage24.com bout what a crappy gun his model 24P is. http://disc.yourwebapps.com/Indices/180203.html
    You might go there and see if you can buy it from him. Somebody else has already asked...

    Please understand, I have two savage 24's, a .22 Rimfire over .410 and a 30/30 over 20 gauge, and I think they're great. I did have misfire problems with the 30/30 barrel, but following the suggestions on Savage24.com solved the problem. The .22/.410 has been totally reliable since forever.
    I don't know what his problem is, but I'm betting they could be solved.
