Locating a Stevens 200 in the Kansas City, MO area

I have been looking for a while and am having a hard time finding any Stevens 200 models in the KCMO area. Does anyone know who sells them?

I know of a dealer that lives 10 miles south of Harrisonville that will order one for you. Have you tried Bass Pro and cabelas. I would rather deal with home town people myself but they usally have a big selection and sometimes sales that are hard to beat. How about C. R. sales in Grandview?

Neither Cabelas nor the 2 local Basspro's carry the Stevens. Who is the dealer south of Harrisonville ... are you talking about Off the Wall Sports? I have some dealer contacts in Grandview and Raytown that will order but they all seem to want close to $400 plus tax for them. I was hoping to find a good deal as often talked about here.

I am about 90-100 miles SW of you but there are 2 or 3 local guys that stock the 200's. Usually they are right around $325, I do know they go to Jerry's sports center every thursday and pick up their orders.

    kslefty,

Where are you located? Can you tell me what the names of the shops are? I have no problem traveling a bit to get a good deal. At some point you have to weigh the cost of fuel against $25 shipping and $35 FFL fees for internet sales.

If I'm not mistaken, I saw one at the shop in N. KC. I believe it was a 2506

    Sew,
Check w/ your area Academy Sports. AS has an ongoing sale on Stevens Model 200, although I think it's limited to 7-08 and 270, at $180. I believe the sale's available to all, although only if the store already has it in stock. I was told by mult AS that they do not have the capability of ordering these rifles and don't know ahead of time if any are coming in. I bought 3 in 270 at an AS 4 hours away, although none of the 6-7 closer AS stores I called had them nor could get them.

GaryT, thanks for the reply. I tried to find an AS in the area a few months but I think the closest is in the St Louis area, about 3 hours drive. Someday, if I'm heading that direction, I may try to find it.

I found a Stevens 200, 308, combo that was unfired, at least according to the seller, for $275 shipped. I'll pay my FFL holder $20 for the transfer and by the time I get it home I figure I will have saved a few dollars vs ordering it locally. I'm fortunate that my FFL holder doesn't mind drop shipped vs ordering it.

Come up to St. Joseph, Deans Gun Shop. They have multiple Stevens Rifles. I'm wanting to say their price is 329 before tax. The closest Academy to us is or was in Joplin. That store is now closed for the time being.
