Things I'd eyeball:
Overall fit and finish (scratches, etc).
Tang should float, I think.
Crown condition.
Magazine insert/eject, if applicable.
Action operation.
I'm sure there's more.
I'm headed in to buy a MKII BTV or BTVS, and wondered what should be on the punchlist when I look at rifles in a side-by-side comparison. Jimmy already taught me to check for the floated barrel, and possibly twisted or uneven millwork inside the foregrip. What other "store inspection" tests should I run to try to get a shooter? tomcat220t says his came with rifling that was rough. Can that be checked in the store? Are there some well known "issues", or they might be unique that you've run across.
Can apply to MKII, 93,auto, whatever...
