10 FCP HS shooting left of bore sight by 12" @100 yards

I have a savage 10 FCP HS rifle in 308, NF 3.5-15x50, Warne 20 moa base.

Bore sighted the rifle and at 100 yards, it shoots over 12" left of bore site. Is this normal?

    Ammo is Winchester 147 grain.

The rest of the story: Had a Sightron scope on it and was shooting handloads (168 gr 46.7 gr BL-C2) and driving sub 3/4" groups at 100 yards, and doing better than reasonably well to 500 yards. Less than 500 rounds down the barrel.

    Any thoughts?

Did you change anything else besides the scope? If so you could work back through changing one thing at a time until you find what was wrong.

Only thing changed was the scope and rings.

Need to get the ammo for it reloaded. But could a gun shoot this far off of point of aim just changing ammo??

What range did you boresight at? If the scope is mounted crooked, the windage will only be right at the boresight distance. The farther away you get from that distance, the farther the windage will be off.
