    accutrigger spring adjustment

hey all. ive been luurking for a few weeks and finally joned and i can admit now im fully addicted..lol.

anyway.....im doing renovations to my model 16 in 308. got a stainless 22" threaded and fluted barrel on order from mcgowan and have hopefully 2 more weeks to go before i get it so im rounding up all the parts from my build.

i also modified my accutrigger spring down to around 14oz by clipping a coil or 2. so now i can adjust it up to 2.5 lbs for hnting and down to 14oz for matches all my local gun club.

anyone else have success with modifying the accutrigger spring and do you think it would have been easier just to get the target version spring (if i can find them that is cuz i know savage wont sell them to me). thoughts and comments.......

The target action use the same spring, the difference is in the sear. The sear is marked by a dimple in the side just under the bolt release flag.
