Will a "E" receiver stock fit a older MKII?

I have a older non "E" receiver MKII that I recently picked up. I am wanting to replace the factory sythetic stock.

Will a modern "E" receiver stock fit the early MKII's?

    Thanks

It does take some sanding. Not to bad of a job, it didnt take me more than 15 minutes.
