trigger job and keeping the accutrigger

How light can you get with the accutrigger? Has anyone done a home trigger job and had success?
I want to keep the accutrigger, I like the blade in the middle. Rifle will be used for targets/varmints. Its too heavy to carry around.

I did a quick search and came up empty, I know this has been asked before.

Yes many people have done it. The accu-trigger can go very low down into the oz if you know what your doing. I have one on my 10 precision carbine that breaks at 12oz.

what is the process? Do I cut a coil, reassemble, and test? Repeat untill I am happy?

That is one way to do it, If you was to do it that way, I would start with a light weight varmint spring. (Available at SSS) There is more than one way to skin a cat.

How is it that you got your name grossed up by a factor of 100.1????? You get a raise?

To the OP - yes, you can clip and test, but a lighter spring may work better. You anc replace the spring then if you don't like it, and tey're cheap. I have a bench only gun done like that (clipped) and with the lever removed - wouldn't do that on a field gun though.

I didn't see the spring offered on sss's website.

Keeping the blade, it will be used in the field. Roughly what does the varmint spring cost?

Just because it is not on their web site don't mean they don't have it. half of the stuff they offer is not on the web site. So give them a call.

Inquiring minds what to know. I wish I could get a raise, but the boss says it is a budget crunch. :) I changed my name because, my hope is that I will become such a legend that IMR/Hodgdon will release a powder under my new name after the first of the year, and maybe they will give me some. No, actually I got board, and wondered if anyone would notice, but IMR/Hodgdon is releasing a new version of the old 8208 powder. I called them the other day and it should start showing up around the first of the year. My hope is to buy a few lbs of it.

Nope, it is not as hot as H322, maybe closer to N133. I was told the new stuff will be hoter than the old stuff.
