T&T bolt swap

I have an action that I had T&T done by SSS the bolt head on it is not going to work on my 6.5x55 just a little smaller than my other bolt heads by .005. The ? is can I swap the bolt head without messing up the T&T? Otherwise I will wait for my other actions to get back and use this one on my 308.

Yes, you can swap out the bolt head, without problems. The only thing is when SSS does a T&T job they radius the back of the bolt head so that the spring washer can be moved to behind the bolt head, insuring that any grease use will not be wiped off. You will have to move the bolt head back to the factory position behind the baffle. I will say I don't understand why .005 would make a difference in factory sized bolt heads. Good luck.

Thanks for the info I'll just use this action for my 308. The bolt head is .476. Lapua brass works ok but my other brass is a bit bigger and my other bolt heads are .481 and work fine.
