    Removal of Brake on 110BA barrel ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ???

I just got a Savage 110BA in 300 Win Mag, I want to shoot some F Class matches, but can't use the Brake in these competitions. Are there any tricks to doing this?
I hear that it just screws on, but I want to make sure I don't hurt anything...
    Thanks!

I don't think there's anything special involved... it's just threaded a standard 5/8x24 on the end of the muzzle, and the brake should have wrench flats so all you should need is a really stout barrel vise, a strong wrench and maybe some heat (dunno if they use any kind of thread locker compound).
