    no ejector?

Gonna get a complete bolt assembly for .223 and a single shot tray. I'm assuming if I don't put in an ejector(it doesn't come with one) the brass will just pull back over the tray to be handpicked out?

Just want to make sure this will cause no problems.

    Re: no ejector?

All of my Savage rifles are set up for bench shooting. Every one of them has the ejector spring and rod removed. The extractor holds the case on the bolt head so it can be picked off. Works slick and no damage or chasing brass.
Also saves problems with short cases like the .221 Fireball not feeding or extracting properly. You also get a chance to inspect each case for problems before it hits the ground and could get damaged.
Oz never gave nothing to the Tin Man, that he didn't already have.

Thats what I figured just wanted to make sure it wouldn't cause any problems. I hate chucking brass on the ground as well then trying not to step all over it.

I have my 22-250 setup like that also and so far no problems. It is nice to not have to try and catch brass before it gets away.
